![]() ![]() Mara, seeking to ruin Siddhartha’s enlightenment, rode in on an elephant who was named Girimehkala. The story goes that the Buddha, named Siddhartha Gautama, was meditating under a fig tree before his enlightenment. Girimehkala is from bhuddist lore, but specfically Sri Lankan bhuddism. The big blue elephant: the star of this Girimehkala guide. Still, many don’t know that there’s another iconic persona from the same story. One of the most iconic personas in the entire series is Mara, the demon that’s a literal penis. The inspiration comes out through the theming of their games, like Persona 4 using Shinto mytholgy, but it mostly shows through the countless legions of demons and personas the player can use. One of my favorite things about them is how they use real world mythology and literature as sources of inspiration. Even after successfully engaging, the spawn will try to run away so quickly defeat it with your physical (Slash, Strike, and Pierce) skills.Persona games are great. ![]() This isn't guaranteed to work but it has worked for me much better than trying to approach the spawn myself. Your teammates should engage the golden spawn right away and you can just hop in the fight. Instead, position your camera such that the spawn is visible (don't spook it!) click to open the command menu and click "Priority: Fight Shadows". One trick I've been using when encountering golden enemies is to not approach it by yourself when you see one. When farming this, I would recommend going floor to floor and keeping an eye on the radar to see when you're coming up close to an enemy if the enemy is not gold, you can safely spook/avoid them but if it is gold be very cautious approaching them as they spook very easily and once spooked, it's near impossible to encounter them before they run away. Encountering them is a hit or miss sometimes you can do 10+ floors without seeing one and sometimes you'll get a rare condition where the entire floor will be golden spawns. I would also try to be much higher level than the spawn you're going for (each tier in Tartarus has different golden spawns) so that you can kill it before it can run away. I wouldn't go out of my way to encounter them until the request from Elizabeth is available, as you'll have to defeat them for the request (Request 7 for a Lead Medal). You can find them on any floor (other than the event floors). Golden Hand is a rare spawn that will be a golden shadow instead of the usual dark shadow when running around in Tartarus. You'll get five-figure rewards in money currency, just make a run for the stairs to the next floor ASAP after doing it, you'll know he'll be here when you're warned beforehand by Mitsuru that Death is near. The marking indicates the Reaper enemy will come to the dungeon floor sooner than expected if you accept the offer. P.S.- You'll get a bonus card shuffle after you beat a Golden Hand shuffle with number 5 Gold bonus cards marked with skull and cross bones. Akihiko's Sonic Punch and Junpei's Cleave can help to do the trick and help you get the achievement, which should pop after you get past the battle results screen after winning. So you should use special physical attacks that take out a portion of your HP, where one move can yield more than enough damage to take out the Golden Hand. ![]() Elemental attacks will simply be nullified, only physical attacks are what damage this enemy. Now, when in battle with a Golden Hand, it will attempt to run away at every turn, it won't do anything else like attacking, so when your turn comes to attack, you need to make it count. If you spot one in the vicinity, make sure to approach it from behind, because if it spots you it will simply run away and disappear. A Golden Hand is an enemy resembling a Magic Hand or Dancing Hand you can find in the first and second blocks of floors in Tartarus, differentiated in that the color of the gloves is gold, and that the Shadows you find in your floor explorations to interact and initiate battles where Golden Hands can be found are colored as such.
